Job Title: MEP Construction Manager

We are seeking an experienced MEP Construction Manager to join our team at Highfield Professional Solutions Ltd. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for providing MEPF support to our clients' CM teams, general contractors, and MEPF subcontractors on new region builds.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Review IFC designs for design issues and improvements, and determine where local alternatives with better lead times can be applied.
  2. Review incoming design change directives for impact to MEP works and establish if they can be implemented depending on site progress.
  3. Work with MEPF contractors to offer technical support on MEPF systems, clarifying clients' expectations and typical installation practices.
  4. Assist MEPF contractors in generating shop drawings, reviewing them prior to formal submission.
  5. Track and monitor MEPF shop drawings and technical submittals, pushing them through the approval process.
  6. Develop a shop drawing tracker for MEPF contractors to populate and maintain.
  7. Monitor the procurement process of MEPF contractors to ensure orders are placed for materials and equipment in time for delivery.
  8. Provide clients' contractors with insight into MEPF works to prioritize clients' works affecting efficient MEPF progress.
  9. Coordinate the sequence of MEPF works on behalf of the general contractor.
  10. Track, monitor, and report on MEPF progress daily, monitoring manpower and equipment deployed across sites.
  11. Review progress against resources and forecast required resources to meet/recover schedule.
  12. Offer MEPF contractors' advice on long lead equipment handling, installation, and commissioning.
  13. Ensure MEPF contractor-provided equipment for installations and testing is secured well in advance.
  14. Review the quality of MEPF installation while it's WIP to minimize reworks.
  15. Advise MEPF contractors of clients' best practices and standards, communicating clients' expectations to MEPF teams.
  16. Work with MEPF contractors to close out comments and nonconformance reports.
  17. Develop ITPs, inspection notices, pre-commissioning, and commissioning plans and procedures with the aid of the commissioning manager.
  18. Provide guidance to MEPF contractors on installation and coordination at the site.
  19. Review and determine acceptable deviations from the design/shop drawings.
  20. Coordinate with LLE vendors for equipment delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning.
  21. Determine site requirements and ensure the general contractor follows through with delivering requirements prior to LLE equipment/personnel arrival.
  22. Review reported vs actual progress at site to verify contractor is on or behind schedule.
  23. Provide MEPF contractors with guidance on commissioning and oversee MEPF L1-L3 commissioning.
  24. Interface with clients' Cx team for L4-L5 commissioning.
  25. Support the general contractor in the management of MEPF contractors through to PFHO.

Strong time management and communication skills are essential to this role, as well as computer literacy and the ability to prepare reports and administer necessary paperwork.
