We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Staitheford House in Stafford. As a Cook, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting meals to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and prepare meals for residents, adhering to strict food hygiene standards.
- Follow recipes and cooking procedures to ensure high-quality dishes.
- Ensure the kitchen is clean and organized, with all equipment and storage areas maintained to a high standard.
- Manage food stock, checking for quality and quantity, and report any issues to the Catering Supervisor.
- Monitor and control portion sizes, ensuring residents receive the correct amount of food.
- Collect and record routine data, including temperature control during production, preparation, service, and storage.
- Report any accidents, near misses, or damage to the Catering Supervisor.
- Ensure the kitchen is secure when not in use and that all equipment is properly maintained.
- 2 years of experience in hands-on cooking.
- Experience working to strict food hygiene standards.
- Ability to follow recipes and cook a variety of cuisines.
