We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Staitheford House, 14 Lichfield Road, Stafford. As a Cook, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting meals to our residents, ensuring the highest standards of health, hygiene, and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and prepare meals for residents, adhering to strict food hygiene standards.
- Ensure routine day-to-day and specialized cleaning of kitchen equipment, work surfaces, kitchen floors, and storage areas.
- Manage and control all food, including receiving and checking stock, checking equipment and materials, and monitoring portion control.
- Collect and record routine data, including temperature control during production, preparation, service, and storage.
- Report any accidents, near misses, damage, or breakages to the Catering supervisor.
- Ensure the Catering Department is opened and closed at the required times and secured when not in use.
- 2 years of experience in hands-on cooking.
- Experience of working to strict food hygiene standards.
- Experience in following recipes and open to cooking many cuisines.
