Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Staitheford House in Stafford. As a Cook, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting meals to our residents, ensuring the highest standards of health, hygiene, and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare meals for residents, adhering to strict food hygiene standards.
  • Ensure routine day-to-day and specialized cleaning of kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas.
  • Manage and control all food, including receiving and checking stock, monitoring portion control, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Report any accidents, near misses, or damage to the Catering Supervisor.
  • Ensure the Catering Department is opened and closed at the required times and secured when not in use.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in hands-on cooking.
  • Experience of working to strict food hygiene standards.
  • Ability to follow recipes and cook a variety of cuisines.
