Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Support Plans: Collaborate with young people to create personalized support plans, setting goals and objectives to promote independence and self-sufficiency.
- Build Strong Relationships: Foster positive relationships with young people, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive support network.
- Provide Guidance and Support: Offer guidance and support to young people in areas such as education, employment, and life skills, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
- Work Collaboratively: Partner with other professionals, including social workers, housing providers, and local authorities, to ensure a cohesive and effective support system.
- Promote Services and Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with local agencies, promoting our services and working together to address the needs of young people.
- Experience in Support Work: A minimum of 1 year of experience in support work or a related field, with a strong understanding of housing options, housing law, and basic benefits.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people, families, and other stakeholders.
- Non-Judgmental Approach: A non-judgmental mindset and an understanding of the impacts of homelessness, substance misuse, family breakdown, domestic abuse, and trauma.
- Resilience and Adaptability: A forward-thinking and resilient attitude, with the ability to overcome barriers and setbacks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Full UK Driving License: A full UK driving license and access to a car, with a willingness to travel to meet the needs of young people.
