Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our expanding operations team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in optical networks, test equipment, and cellular and networking knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for optical networks, including troubleshooting and fault-finding
  • Conduct thorough testing and produce detailed test documentation and reports
  • Manage fault tickets from start to finish
  • Administer and execute turnkey projects
  • Experience with remote network management platforms
  • Expertise in Cisco hardware and configuration, ideally with CCNA certification or in the process of obtaining it

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of optical networks and related hardware
  • Proficiency with test equipment, including optical power meters, light sources, BERTs, cellular scanners, and multimeters
  • Cellular and networking knowledge, including routing and switching protocols and network synchronization
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical information to customers and suppliers
  • Flexibility to travel for fieldwork when necessary

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with SNMP-based network management systems
  • Knowledge of LTE-based systems
  • Ability to train team members and customers
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and adapt to changing work demands and schedules
