About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Academic Programme Manager to lead our University Ready team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to take charge of delivering excellent student outcomes, quality assurance, and innovation in our provision.

The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of our strategic vision by developing the University Ready programme, communicating our vision to drive continuous improvement, and participating in programme meetings and events as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the University Ready programme strategy to achieve aspirational targets for student outcomes
  • Lead on the design and delivery of high-quality teaching resources and activities to support students' progression towards their goals
  • Monitor students' progress, identify areas for improvement, and develop interventions to enhance student outcomes
  • Collaborate with programme teams to ensure effective communication, coordination, and implementation of programme strategies
  • Line manage programme staff, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management to ensure exceptional standards

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline, a Master's or higher degree is desirable, and a recognised Teaching or Guidance Counselling Qualification is also desirable. You will have significant experience in providing leadership and managing teams, as well as expertise in undergraduate application consulting/coaching and student tracking and data analytics.

As a seasoned academic professional, you will have excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Your strong analytical skills will enable you to gather and interpret data, provide actionable insights, and make informed decisions to drive programme success.

We estimate the salary for this position to be approximately £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
