About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Community Wellbeing Facilitator to join our team in Buckinghamshire. As a key member of our wellbeing group, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with severe mental health challenges to achieve their wellness goals and aspirations.

Job Description

Based in Aylesbury and High Wycombe, this part-time position offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in working with mental health and accessing training and learning opportunities for personal and professional growth.

You will be responsible for:

  • Facilitating engaging and motivating wellbeing activities that cater to the diverse needs of service users.
  • Engaging warmly with individuals and encouraging participation in group activities such as art, crafting, cooking, interactive games, and group discussion.
  • Supporting service users to assess their wellbeing journey and set achievable goals.
  • Actively networking with professionals, other services, carers, and wider networks to promote recovery-focused interventions.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of the issues affecting adults with severe mental illness.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with individuals who experience mental health challenges.
  • Ability to motivate and encourage service users to identify potential and support recovery.
  • Knowledge of social and situational factors influencing adults' mental health, recovery, and wellbeing.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of people living with mental and emotional problems.
  • GCSE level English and Mathematics.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £22,126 per annum, based on 25 hours per week (5 hours per day, Monday-Friday). This includes benefits such as access to training and learning opportunities, travel expenses, and a supportive work environment.

Please note that this is a permanent role, covering Aylesbury and High Wycombe locations, with opportunities to network and build sustainable working partnerships with volunteers, staff, and other agencies.
