Job Opportunity: Associate Director Sustainable Procurement

Maxim Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Associate Director Sustainable Procurement to join their team in Glasgow.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a large, multidisciplinary construction consultancy and contribute to their sustainability goals.

The successful candidate will lead teams and programmes to help clients meet their social and environmental targets, including orientating procurement operations towards net zero and better environmental and social outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide sustainable procurement management and insights across multiple projects and commissions.
  • Lead project teams and play a key role in large global transformation programmes.
  • Manage and guide colleagues as they work on client projects and commissions.
  • Identify, design, deliver, and continually improve clients' environmental performance to meet targets across key sustainability themes.
  • Develop and lead the sustainable procurement services and propositions.
  • Contribute to business generation of sustainable procurement opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Previous procurement consulting experience from a client, contractor, or professional services organisation.
  • Experience of embedding ISO Sustainable Procurement into procurement operations is desirable.
  • Strong project team management ethos and ability to lead delivery and transformation programmes.
  • Understanding of wider ESG legislative and regulatory environments is desirable.
  • Confident, independent, and able to work autonomously.
  • Ability to manage work/business development/career development activities.
  • Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply or higher is required.
