Job Opportunity: Associate Director Sustainable Procurement

Maxim Recruitment is seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our sustainable procurement services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing sustainable procurement management and insights to clients, helping them progress towards better environmental, social, and economic outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead project teams and play a key role in large global transformation programmes.
  • Provide management, challenge, and guidance to colleagues as they work on client projects and commissions.
  • Identify, design, deliver, and continually improve clients' environmental performance to meet targets across key sustainability themes.
  • Develop and lead the sustainable procurement services and propositions.
  • Contribute to the business generation of sustainable procurement opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Previous procurement consulting experience gained from either client, contractor, or professional services organisation.
  • Experience of embedding ISO 20400 (Sustainable Procurement) into procurement operations, desired but not essential.
  • Strong project team management ethos and ability to lead delivery and transformation programmes.
  • Strong understanding of wider ESG legislative and regulatory environments is desirable.
  • Confident, independent, and able to work autonomously without need for supervision.
  • Ability to manage work/business development/career development activities.
  • Has achieved, is working towards, or is willing to work towards at least Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply.
