About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Atherleigh Park Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established team across five wards in a modern hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • To manage a daily caseload of clients with acute and complex mental health needs, as well as occasional physical health rehabilitation requirements.
  • To complete assessments and treatment plans to contribute to the discharge planning process, utilizing professional knowledge and expertise.
  • To work collaboratively with therapists, including Activity Co-ordinators, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists, and Therapy Assistants.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A relevant professional Occupational Therapist qualification and current HPC registration.
  • Previous experience in relevant health settings, with evidence-based practice description and reflective practice skills.
  • Ability to utilize assessment skills and tools effectively, communicate in various settings, formulate and produce relevant reports, delegate, coordinate care, prioritize, and work to deadlines.
Remuneration

The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive salary, estimated to be around £39,000-£44,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with:

  • 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 29 after 5 years and 33 days after 10 years.
