About the Role

Hays Senior Finance is seeking a highly skilled Tax and Treasury Manager to join our client's finance team. This is a key role within the organization, responsible for providing technical advice on tax and treasury matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise to the finance team and overseas branches/subsidiaries on tax and treasury matters.
  • Collaborate with other specialists, including legal, HR, and external advisers, as necessary.
  • Contribute to acquisitions, partnerships, disposals, or restructuring of businesses within the Group, providing tax input.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax requirements across all businesses.
  • Assist with transfer pricing, including benchmarking studies and advance clearance projects.
  • Manage the preparation of UK subsidiaries' corporation tax returns and address any subsequent queries.
  • Compile global data to prepare and submit annual CbCR, as required.
  • Oversee the monthly and annual tax reporting cycle, reporting to the Financial Controller and Finance Director on effective tax rates, variances, and development of issues.
  • Monitor chief tax risks worldwide, propose mitigation strategies, and manage major tax issues in conjunction with local management.
  • Implement relevant elements of the agreed tax strategy, reporting to the Financial Controller.
  • Ensure compliance with all necessary taxation requirements within the UK and overseas, as necessary.
  • Handle issues related to permanent establishment overseas.
  • Supervise cash flow forecasting, managing cash flow to meet financial obligations as they are due.
  • Liaise with Financial Planning and Analysis and the wider business to understand how known business changes will impact cash flow and ensure this is incorporated into cash flow forecasting models.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will be a qualified accountant, either ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent, with some post-qualification experience. You may have industry experience or be making your first move from practice, demonstrating technical knowledge of both tax and treasury matters.
