About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Forensic Nurse or Paramedic to join our team at Mountain Healthcare. As a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to detainees in police custody.

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in acute medical healthcare and be qualified as a Registered Nurse or Paramedic. Previous experience in A&E, walk-in centres, substance misuse, community nursing, police custody, or prison settings would be highly beneficial.

You will work closely with the police and receive training and support to become an accredited Forensic Practitioner. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in forensic healthcare and make a positive impact on the lives of detainees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing high-quality care to detainees in police custody
  • Collecting forensic samples and assisting the police with investigations
  • Assessing and caring for detainees and staff in custody suites
  • Delivering substance misuse therapies and promoting good personal healthcare
  • Working with Liaison and Diversion to identify any mental health needs

You will work in a dynamic and lively environment, with no two days the same. Our dedicated healthcare professionals are fully trained to provide a high level of care to detainees and their needs, which can vary from drug/alcohol dependency to acute medical episodes.
