Actuarial Analyst Role

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Analyst to join our team at Rokstone Group. As an Actuarial Analyst, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining our pricing models, working closely with underwriting teams to ensure accurate and effective risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain technical pricing models that reflect the underwriter's view of risk and are user-friendly for the underwriting team.
  2. Utilize MI from subsequent raters to inform underwriting strategy, model calibration, and reserving considerations.
  3. Provide risk pricing support for assigned classes of business, including quotes and premium threshold analysis.
  4. Contribute to annual business planning, forecasting portfolio performance, and recommending target rate changes or adequacy based on RS targets and market dynamics.
Requirements
  1. University degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  2. Qualified actuary (FIA or equivalent).
  3. Experience working closely with underwriting teams on technical pricing and influencing commercial decisions.
  4. Intermediate to advanced experience in R or Python.
  5. Previous experience and good understanding of reserving is preferred but not essential.
