The Emerald Group is seeking an experienced Actuarial Analyst to join our team in London. As an Actuarial Analyst, you will play a key role in providing actuarial pricing support to our underwriting teams in Bermuda and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our pricing models.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the development and maintenance of actuarial pricing models, including exposure and experience rating models.
- Collate and analyze data to inform pricing decisions and ensure the models are aligned with market trends.
- Provide actuarial support to underwriting teams, including peer review and validation of pricing models.
- Contribute to the development of business planning and pricing strategies, working closely with the Lead Actuary and underwriting teams.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in actuarial pricing and risk management.
- Relevant actuarial qualification (FIA or equivalent) and a numerate degree (or equivalent).
- Experience working in an analytical role at a P&C reinsurer or reinsurance broker.
- Advanced IT skills, particularly in MS Excel, VBA, SQL, Python, or similar coding languages.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of actuarial pricing principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
