Job Title: Actuarial Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Analyst to join our team at Irish Life Group Services Limited. As an Actuarial Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the Actuarial Function in delivering core oversight tasks, including validation and oversight of actuarial liabilities and actuarial oversight of pricing, underwriting, and reinsurance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head of Actuarial Function Oversight and Partial Internal Model in establishing and maintaining actuarial governance processes.
  • Validate the work of non-qualified and other recently qualified actuaries.
  • Develop expertise in one or more areas within the function, demonstrating sound understanding of complex statistical methods and models.
  • Produce and present regular high-quality reports on Partial Internal Model performance for management and Board committees.
  • Support the delivery of core oversight tasks of the Actuarial Function, including validation and oversight of actuarial liabilities and actuarial oversight of pricing, underwriting, and reinsurance.
  • Support the Head of Actuarial Function Oversight and Partial Internal Model in maintaining the Policies and Standards for which the Actuarial Function Holder is the owner.
Requirements:
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and ability to interpret financial information and controls.
  • Excellent analytical and report writing skills.
  • Ability to explain complexities in a straightforward and accurate way to audiences of differing levels of understanding.
  • Proven communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across the actuarial function.
  • Willingness to take decisions independently and exercise sound judgement and commercial sense.
