Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Sodexo. As a Fire Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting various low-level fire safety maintenance tasks, including repairs and equipment checks.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct fire safety maintenance repairs, planned preventative facilities tasks, and directed project work to contribute to a safe environment within our facilities.
  • Perform fire safety equipment checks on items such as fire extinguishers, fire blankets, and fire hoses.
  • Participate in specific training to support the role and ensure compliance with relevant trade standards.
  • Communicate effectively and work productively and collaboratively with all other staff.
  • Ensure Health and Safety policies are adhered to at all times and that all works are undertaken in a safe manner in accordance with good practice and current legislation.
  • Be familiar with, and adhere to, tool management procedures as laid down in the Local Security Strategy.
  • Undertake duties, as required, that contribute to the effective operation of our facilities.
  • Participate in 'out of hours call out procedures' on an 'On Call' rota system and take appropriate response action.
  • Escort specialist contractors and work beside them as required.
Requirements
  • Have a positive approach to Health and Safety.
  • Be proactive and systematic in approach to tasks.
  • Be willing to undergo instruction and training.
  • Be able to work to correct time schedules and deadlines.
  • Be able to perform tasks alone or in a team to a high standard without constant supervision.
  • Be able to assist other trades within our facilities.
  • Have good communication skills.
