Commercial Strategist for Contract Assurance and Procurement

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Strategist to join our team at Yorkshire Water. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop and implement commercial strategies, ensuring the delivery of contracted works while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement procedures, and risk management practices. They will be responsible for developing and implementing key commercial controls, including cost assurance, contract administration, and supply chain management.
With excellent negotiation and communication skills, the Commercial Strategist will work closely with partners and suppliers to ensure seamless collaboration and effective outcome-based agreements. Additionally, they will support the development and implementation of commercial strategies, identifying new opportunities and providing guidance on aspects such as risk management and budget control.
In this role, you will enjoy a competitive salary between £40,257-£58,131 depending on experience, annual incentive-related bonus up to £1000, attractive pension scheme, and numerous benefits including 25 days' annual leave, life assurance cover, online GP service, cycle to work scheme, and more.
This is a hybrid working position, requiring two office days per week, with flexibility to adapt to changing demands and priorities. The successful candidate will be based in Bradford, with access to a modern office environment.
