Job Description

The Head of Physiotherapy will provide strategic, operational, professional, clinical leadership, and governance for Physiotherapists. This includes leading on workforce development, focusing on recruitment, retention, role development, and developing research and education within the profession and with academic partners.

The successful candidate will have extensive profession-specific knowledge, application of theory, best practice, and procedures. They will also have in-depth knowledge and understanding of current NHS policy and its implications for professional practice.

Requirements
  • Extensive experience of managing people and financial resources at a senior level.
  • Experience of Business Planning, including developing and producing business plans/cases and Budgetary Management.
  • Project Management skills and comprehensive knowledge of all Local and National Performance Indicators.
  • Leadership qualities, enthusiastic with the ability to motivate others.
