About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Safety and Compliance Operations Manager to join our senior management team. This is an exceptional opportunity to drive service excellence and ensure compliance with UK standards across all Council housing stock.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance Management: Lead on compliance across all Council housing stock, ensuring adherence to UK Compliance Standards. Achieve 100% compliance for gas servicing and electrical testing through collaboration with Customer Liaison Officers.
  • Inspection Oversight: Coordinate and ensure timely completion of essential compliance inspections, including Annual Gas Safety Inspections, Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR), Fire alarm testing and emergency lighting checks, Fire risk assessments, Legionella and water risk assessments, Lift inspections, portable appliance testing, and lightning conductor inspections, Asbestos management and RIDDOR reporting, Firefighting equipment such as AOVs, sprinkler systems, and dry risers.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Work closely with Surveyors, Contract Managers, and other stakeholders to allocate, monitor, and progress tasks effectively. Champion near-miss reporting and uphold high safety and quality standards.
  • Expert Guidance and Training: Provide technical advice on building safety and compliance to key stakeholders. Develop and deliver training for non-technical staff on compliance-related topics.
Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £47,000 per year
