Service Care Solutions, based in Suffolk, is seeking a dedicated Building Safety Compliance Officer to join their Housing Team.

This full-time, permanent role offers hybrid working and a salary between 44,428 - 46,464 per year.

The primary objective of this position is to provide a comprehensive service for the effective maintenance and improvement of housing stock and local environment, focusing on building safety matters and compliance with relevant legislation.

Responsibilities:

  • To collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance inspections are conducted at appropriate frequencies and in a timely manner, allocating necessary rectification actions and ensuring they are completed to a high standard.

The postholder will be responsible for various compliance tasks, including:

  • Annual Gas Safety Inspections
  • EICR Electrical Inspections
  • Fire alarm testing
  • Emergency lighting checks
  • Fire risk assessments
  • Water Risk Assessments
  • Legionella Inspections
  • Lift Inspections
  • Portable Appliance Testing
  • Lightening Conductor Inspections
  • RIDDOR reporting
  • Asbestos Management
  • Fire fighting equipment management
  • Near miss reporting

Requirements:

  • A degree in building services or an equivalent professional qualification
  • 5 years' experience in building services
  • Demonstrable experience in H&S compliance and monitoring associated compliance

Please note that a competitive salary is offered, estimated around 45,000 pounds annually.
