Job Title: Principal Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Principal Consultant to join our Financial Services Risk Assurance team at RSM International.

About the Role

This is a key leadership position that will play a major role in driving forward the growth of our firm. As a Principal Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering internal audit and risk assurance services to a portfolio of financial services clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resource planning to ensure all client engagements are adequately resourced in a timely manner.
  • Providing bespoke training programmes for junior staff.
  • Managing staff utilisation figures.
  • Overseeing delivery of client work as part of the engagement delivery team.
  • Quality assurance reviews of internal audit files and reports.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
  • Manage internal audit contracts and individual reviews in line with the agreed budgets.
  • Assist the Partner in business development initiatives.
Requirements

We are looking for an experienced hire with extensive practical experience of working in an equivalent position in a professional services firm or large in-house function within industry. You should be technically proficient in executing and leading audits in accordance with IIA standards and the standards on effective audit in financial services across several of the following areas:

  • Regulatory reporting (COREP/FINREP)
  • Client Money and Assets (CASS)
  • CRD IV
  • MIFID II
  • Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP)
  • ICAAP and Pillar 3 reporting
  • Senior Managers & Certification Regime
  • FCA Systems and Controls – especially in relation to Compliance and Risk Management Frameworks

You should also have extensive experience of working in different financial services sectors, such as insurance, banking, alternative finance / lending, FX trading, investment management and funds, asset management, broker/dealers and prop traders, and investment banking and stockbroking.
