Job Title: Principal Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Principal Consultant to join our Financial Services Risk Assurance team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality risk assurance services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver internal audit and risk assurance services to a portfolio of financial services clients.
  • Manage staff utilisation figures and provide bespoke training programmes for junior staff.
  • Oversee delivery of client work as part of the engagement delivery team.
  • Agree engagement scopes with clients and oversee client delivery by team members.
  • Quality assurance reviews of internal audit files and reports.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
  • Manage internal audit contracts and individual reviews in line with agreed budgets.
  • Assist the Partner in business development initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Extensive practical experience of working in an equivalent position in a professional services firm or large in-house function within industry.
  • Technically proficient in executing and leading audits in accordance with IIA standards and the standards on effective audit in financial services across several of the following areas.
  • Senior Managers & Certification Regime.
  • FCA Systems and Controls – especially in relation to Compliance and Risk Management Frameworks.
  • Regulatory reporting (COREP/FINREP).
  • Client Money and Assets (CASS).
  • CRD IV.
  • MIFID II.
  • Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP).
  • ICAAP and Pillar 3 reporting.
