Catering Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Hartpury University. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to students and staff, while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve a variety of food and beverages to students and staff
  • Set up and clean down dining areas, including tables, chairs, and serving stations
  • Contribute to the general cleaning of the kitchen and food preparation areas
  • Manage buffet stations and replenish chafing dishes as needed
  • Receive and unload deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient stock management
  • Support in monthly stock takes and kitchen inventory
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to prepare and serve food, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to queries and resolving issues promptly

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Previous experience in catering or hospitality is desirable, but full training will be provided
  • A DBS check will be required for this role
