We are seeking a skilled Peripatetic Chef to lead our culinary excellence in the Glasgow Region. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys variety.
About the Role- Develop and implement high-quality menus that balance taste and nutrition.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff to ensure they are skilled in equipment use and hygiene best practices.
- Collaborate with Home Managers to design and cost menus, using the freshest ingredients available.
- Conduct Basic Food Hygiene training for care staff to ensure everyone is up to speed on food safety.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest food preparation and safety techniques.
- Manage kitchen operations, including ordering and delivery processes.
- Lead by example, upholding Health & Safety standards and ensuring kitchens and dining areas are clean and organized.
- City & Guilds 706 or equivalent qualification (achieved or in progress).
- Excellent team player with strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Prior management or supervisory experience, food preparation for service user groups, and Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Able to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents through exceptional food.
- Bonus Points: Experience in a care environment is a plus but not a requirement.
