Autism Support Graduate

This Special Educational Needs School in Caterham is for children aged 4-16 with severe learning difficulties (SLD). Most children have speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), and an Autism diagnosis.
Are you a motivated Graduate looking to gain experience before pursuing a career as a SEN Teacher or Speech and Language Therapist? You will be supporting a small class of 7-10 students, working in partnership with the school's teaching staff, therapists, and support staff to deliver specific interventions that aim to boost students' learning, development, and language acquisition.
- Assist the class teacher in providing the learning experience of students
- Behaviour and pastoral support
- Take an active role in forward planning with therapists
- Build robust and effective relationships with students
- Practical approach to meet the individual needs of students
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Caring, compassionate, and a good listener
- Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students
- Ensure safeguarding of students, in line with procedures
- Personal care support
- Attend staff meetings and complete appropriate CPD
You will be based in Caterham, working in a supportive environment with experienced professionals. The salary for this role is £85 - £95 per day, Monday to Friday, 8.30am, PAYE, term time only.
