Manucomm Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Manager to join our client's team in the food manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will report directly to the Operational Technical Manager and work closely with the QA Manager to ensure all food safety and quality standards are met at the site.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strong food safety culture across the site.
- Drive site compliance to certification requirements, customer codes of practice, and BRCGS standards.
- Collaborate with the Site Management Team to write procedures and operating instructions for the site.
- Assist the Site Management Team in ensuring training needs are assessed and met.
- Monitor and report on Technical Department KPIs and prepare periodic reports.
- Assist in managing site complaints and feedback to customers.
- Conduct site audits as part of the internal audit programme and follow up with teams with improvement actions plans in place.
- Conduct GMP, hygiene, housekeeping, and fabrication audits and identify areas of improvement.
- Investigate non-conformance issues and assist in resolutions.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams (production, engineering, quality) to resolve technical issues.
- Develop a culture of maintaining good GMP practices.
- Explore innovative ways to drive improved site performance.
- Conduct GAP analysis on customer codes of practices and standards, identify gaps, and areas of improvement.
Key Requirements:
- Relevant Technical / Quality Management experience within production environments in the food industry.
- Practical experience of BRC accreditation, HACCP, facilitation of customer audits, and quality system management.
- Degree qualification in food science or equivalent - Desirable.
- Excellent people management and communication skills.
- A recognised Food hygiene qualification.
