Technical Support Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Manager to join our team at Manucomm Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality across our production site.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a strong food safety culture across the site
  • Drive site compliance to certification requirements, customer codes of practice, and BRCGS
  • Assist the Site Management Team in writing procedures and operating instructions for the site
  • Assist the Site Management Team in ensuring training needs are assessed and met
  • Monitor and report on Technical Department KPIs and prepare periodic reports
  • Assist in management of site complaints and feedback to customers
  • Carry out site audits as part of the internal audit programme and follow up with teams with improvement actions plans in place
  • Carry out GMP, hygiene, housekeeping, and fabrication audits and identify areas of improvement
  • Carry out non-conformance investigations and assist in resolutions
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams (production, engineering, quality) to resolve technical issues
Key Skills:
  • Relevant Technical / Quality Management experience within production environments in the food industry
  • Practical experience of BRC accreditation, HACCP, facilitation of customer audits, and quality system management
  • Excellent people management and communication skills
  • A recognised Food hygiene qualification

This role is commutable from Frome, Trowbridge, Salisbury, Wells, Wincanton, Shepton Mallet, Yeovil, Dorchester, Chard, and surrounding areas.
