About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled ATA MET Technician to join our team at Steer Electric in Eastleigh.

As an ATA MET Technician, you will be responsible for performing all necessary mechanical and body repairs on vehicles, including vehicle dismantling, inspections, diagnostics, and reassembly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical and body repairs on vehicles
  • Dismantle vehicles in preparation for panel shop work
  • Conduct thorough inspections, diagnostics, and fault-finding
  • Order replacement parts and ensure they arrive on time
  • Reassemble vehicles with new parts to restore them to their pre-accident condition

Requirements:

  • Strong experience as an MET Technician, ideally in an accident repair environment
  • A keen eye for detail, with the ability to work precisely and safely under pressure
  • Excellent planning skills to meet deadlines and manage your workload efficiently
  • Ability to follow manufacturers' specifications and repair standards
  • A collaborative team player who can also take initiative and work independently
  • A flexible approach, committed to delivering high-quality results
  • Adherence to health and safety protocols, including PPE use and maintaining a clean work environment
