We are currently seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Residential Support Worker for our Short Breaks Service. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and challenging behavior.

About the Role:
  • Job Summary: Provide high-quality care and support to service users, promoting their independence, wellbeing, and personal growth.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Build trusting relationships with service users, fostering a sense of belonging and security.
  2. Work collaboratively with parents/carers, other professionals, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support.
  3. Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy environment, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
  4. Document information accurately, ensuring records are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  5. Support service users in developing social, emotional, and life skills, promoting confidence and resilience.
Requirements:
  • Essential Qualifications: Hold the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or be willing to achieve this within the required timeframe.
  • Desirable Skills and Experience: Relevant experience working with children and young people, with a strong understanding of safeguarding principles and practices.
  • Personal Qualities: Flexibility, motivation, and a passion for making a positive impact on young lives.
