Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at Finning. As a member of our workshop, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of refurbished Caterpillar products, meeting customer requirements and adhering to Finning standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of machines to assess repair and refurbishment needs
  • Carry out standard diagnosis tests on machine components to determine required parts and materials
  • Overhaul, repair, or refurbish machines according to agreed work plans, removing and dispatching components for specialist attention
  • Inspect and test completed machines to ensure they meet expected performance levels
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a quality service environment within a similar industry
  • Possess strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, work accuracy, and numeracy
  • Hold a valid licence to drive reach trucks
