About the Role
The Briggs Equipment Ltd is seeking a skilled Forklift Engineer Apprentice to join their team in Glasgow. This is a unique opportunity to develop your skills and career in heavy equipment maintenance and repair, while working with a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across the UK and Ireland.

Salary and Benefits
The estimated annual salary for this position is £15,700 in Year 1, progressing to £25,000 in Year 4, subject to satisfactory performance. The company also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including company uniform, PPE, brand-new stocked toolboxes, float to pay for travel expenses, Briggs Boost benefit scheme, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, contributory pension scheme, and medical eye care vouchers upon successful completion of probation period.

Key Responsibilities
As a Forklift Engineer Apprentice, you will work on customer premises and at Briggs Equipment Ltd workshop locations within your specified region. Key responsibilities include:
• Completing Level 7 Modern Apprenticeship Diploma in Lift truck Maintenance and Repair Competence (SCQF)
• Gaining on-the-job experience, starting with shadowing your mentor and other engineers, progressing to performing tasks under supervision, then alongside qualified engineers where your work will be checked and signed off
• Participating in internal training and development programs
• Working effectively with colleagues to ensure effective delivery of services to customers

Becoming a Fully Qualified Engineer
Upon successful completion of the 4-year program and subject to satisfactory performance, you will be considered for a permanent contract as a fully qualified engineer with starting salary expectations c.£30k+ dependent on location.
