Bus Systems Technician

As an Electrical Test Engineer at our Farnborough location, you will be part of an 11-person technician team, focusing on electrical work and assisting with mechanical tasks in our purpose-built Test and Development facility.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with T&D Engineers to build and set up vehicles with the correct components and instrumentation for testing, both on-site and at test facilities. You will also diagnose faults on all electrical systems and CAN network harnesses, utilizing laptop-based diagnostic software for engines, gearboxes, CAN, and vehicle systems.
The role requires expertise in building and modifying harnesses from drawings (24V, High Voltage, and CAN), creating vehicle harnesses to link base units or components with basic information, specifying and using correct termination plugs and sockets, conducting thorough fault finding and rectification, and maintaining a solid understanding of vehicle harnesses and various termination components.
