Supervisor Catering and Bars

Contract Type: Temporary - Ongoing - Temp to Perm

Starting On: Immediate Start Available

Rate of Pay: £16 + Holiday Pay per Hour (Monday to Friday), £24.00 per Hour (Weekends)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supervisor to lead our Catering and Bars team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of student workers, providing training and support, and ensuring excellent service continuity.

• Supervise team members to ensure specifications are adhered to and high standards are maintained
• Provide on-the-job and structured training to team members
• Adhere to the University food safety code of practice
• Ensure excellent customer service is delivered by the team
• Supervise the retail of alcohol in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Supervise the Bar and Dining Services
• Supervise payment operations, including opening, operating, and closure of payment points, in line with financial procedures

• Ability to inspire and lead a team of young student workers
• Training and coaching skills, with the ability to communicate quickly and clearly with teams
• Strong attention to detail
• Enthusiasm and willingness to develop your own skills and knowledge, plus those around you
• Infectious passion for food and drink
• Flexible and willing to embrace new ideas and processes
• Positive and approachable manner
• Able to stay calm when pressure mounts or difficulties arise in service
• Understanding of student-centric Social Media Platforms
• Basic understanding of profit and loss accounts

• Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification
