We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Career Development Specialist to join our team at The Forward Trust. As a Career Development Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality careers advice and guidance to prisoners, helping them to achieve their employment goals and prepare for life after release.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver one-to-one and group careers advice and guidance to prisoners
- Work with prisoners to identify their employment goals and develop a personalized career plan
- Provide support and guidance to prisoners to help them prepare for employment and education opportunities
- Collaborate with external partners, such as HMPS and JCP, to provide a comprehensive support service to prisoners
- Contribute to the development and delivery of employability workshops and training programs
Requirements
- Experience of working in a careers advice or guidance role, preferably in a prison setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people, including prisoners and external partners
- Knowledge of the Matrix Standard and Ofsted EIF
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
