Care Assistant Role - Magilligan Prison

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Magilligan Prison in Northern Ireland.

This role involves working closely with Registered Nurses to provide high-quality care to clients, including clinical observations, administering medication, and maintaining patient dignity.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a healthcare setting, Niscc registration, and completed mandatory training courses. They must also be willing to work on a rota basis, covering day and night duties, and have a strong understanding of medication management.

About the Role:

  • Provide person-centered care to clients in a medium-security prison environment
  • Work collaboratively with nursing staff to complete clinical observations and administer medication
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities

Benefits:

  • A competitive hourly rate of £11.67 - £19.72, depending on shift worked
  • 28 days paid holiday (pro rata) per annum

Requirements:

  • 3 months experience in a healthcare setting
  • Niscc registration or willingness to apply
