We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Controller to join our team at Dickson O'Brien. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts and ensuring timely payment from our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of circa 175 accounts, ensuring timely payment and resolving any disputes or queries.
- Proactively chase debts via telephone and email, maintaining accurate records and notes on the credit control system.
- Issue statements and maintain detailed records of customer interactions.
- Recommend accounts for legal proceedings or debt recovery, working closely with internal and external contacts.
- Perform customer account reconciliations and provide weekly/monthly updates to the Credit Control Manager.
- Intermediate Excel skills and experience with Sage200 (although full training will be provided).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Good personal time management and organisational skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and achieving targets.
