About the Role
BIMM Institute is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Building and Maintenance Officer to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our campus, providing a safe and functional environment for our students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily checks on buildings and equipment, identifying and reporting any issues or concerns.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, repairs, and replacements of equipment and fixtures.
- Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to ensure timely and effective maintenance and repairs.
- Collaborate with the Building and Technical Manager to develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and policies, providing guidance and support to colleagues as needed.
Requirements
- Good standard of general education, including proficiency in English and Maths.
- Confidence in verbal and written communication, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing needs.
- Competent digital literacy skills, with experience using maintenance management software.
