Proman Recruitment is seeking a skilled Mechanical Procurement Engineer to join their team in a dynamic project at Shutton Mill Factory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end procurement, including tendering, sourcing, and supplier/contract management
  • Identify and implement measures to reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by analyzing necessary risks and opportunities
  • Analyze supplier and subcontractor offers and determine the most suitable purchasing goal
  • Negotiate with suppliers, coordinate local contracts with the Project Manager, and obtain approval from the Main Office Contracts and Procurement Departments
  • Develop new material alternatives and assess their usability in the project with the Technical Office Department
  • Deliver materials needed by the construction site on time, ensuring quality approval
  • Coordinate logistics and imports with the Head Office Procurement Department
  • Monitor the supply market, staying up-to-date with developments, trends, risks, and opportunities, and engage with existing and potential suppliers
  • Track warehouse activities, including consumables, goods receipt, and transfer
  • Prepare related procurement reports and presentations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Procurement Experience in Mechanical & Electrical Contracting Projects
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Preferably with knowledge of the UK Market
  • ERP software experience, preferably SAP
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Stakeholder and supplier management
