We are seeking an experienced Procurement Engineer to join our team as a key member of a flagship Energy from Waste project in North Wales. This exciting opportunity allows for outside-IR35 deployment, making it an ideal choice for Limited Company engagement.

Job Description

This role will be responsible for end-to-end procurement, encompassing tendering, sourcing, and supplier/contract management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying measures to reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by analyzing necessary risks and opportunities.
  • Analyzing supplier and subcontractor offers to determine the most suitable purchasing goal.
  • Negotiating with suppliers and coordinating local contracts with the Project Manager to obtain approval from the Main Office Contracts and Procurement Departments.
  • Creatings new material alternatives and ensuring their usability in the project with the Technical Office Department.
  • Delivering orders of materials needed by the construction site while guaranteeing quality approval.
  • Coordination and execution of logistics and imports processes with the Head Office Procurement Department.
  • Continually tracking the supply market, staying up-to-date on developments, trends, risks, and opportunities, and leading engagement with existing and potential suppliers ahead of external market factors.
  • Checking warehouse activities (consumables, goods receipt, transfer).
  • Preparing related procurement reports/presentation.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience with ERP software, preferably SAP.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Stakeholder and supplier management.
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or significant procurement experience in mechanical & electrical contracting projects.
  • At least 5 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of the UK Market is preferable.
Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location-specific factors.
