Test Equipment Technician

**Job Summary**
As a Test Technician at Advanced Energy, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our electronic equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to test and troubleshoot electronic components and sub-assemblies, using a variety of test procedures, drawings, and verbal/written instructions.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform various production assembly operations on electronic components and sub-assemblies, adhering to strict quality and safety standards.
- Use test procedures, drawings, and verbal/written instructions to test and troubleshoot units, identifying and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature, requiring the ability to recognize nonconformities and take corrective action.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management, providing clear and concise updates on test results and progress.
- Understand and follow all safety requirements, maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain fixturing, perform calibration, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order.
- Work under limited supervision, taking initiative to complete tasks and projects with minimal guidance.
- Train and mentor other employees in established processes, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Initiate and contribute to corrective actions, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Ensure that all tasks are performed accurately and completely, meeting or exceeding quality and productivity standards.
- Be effectively cross-trained on multiple product platforms, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn.
- Initiate and contribute to improving processes, lead times, throughput, and cost reductions, driving business growth and success.
**Requirements**
- Previous experience in electrical circuits and assemblies testing is preferred, but not required.
- Proven ability and experience maintaining flexibility and being able to adapt in a team environment.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Intermediate computer knowledge, including proficiency in AE Nexus, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Proficient in all pertinent SAP applications, with a strong understanding of business processes and systems.
- Minimum of two years electronic testing and troubleshooting experience (or equivalent).
- Assist in designing, developing, and implementing new test fixturing, demonstrating creativity and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- HNC or Electrical Electronics Degree, with a strong foundation in electronics and electrical engineering.
