Job Summary

As a Test Technician at Advanced Energy, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our electronic equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to test and troubleshoot electronic components and sub-assemblies, using a variety of test procedures and techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform production assembly operations on electronic components and sub-assemblies, adhering to strict quality and safety standards.
  • Use test procedures, drawings, and verbal/written instructions to test and troubleshoot units, identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Work on assignments that require a high level of attention to detail and the ability to recognize nonconformities.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management, providing clear and concise updates on progress and issues.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety requirements and regulations.
  • Perform calibration, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance on test equipment and fixturing.
  • Work under limited supervision, taking initiative to train other employees and contribute to process improvements.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in electrical circuits and assemblies testing is preferred.
  • Proven ability to maintain flexibility and adaptability in a team environment.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge, including proficiency in AE Nexus, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Proficient in all pertinent SAP applications.
  • Minimum of two years electronic testing and troubleshooting experience (or equivalent).
  • Assists in designing, developing, and implementing new test fixturing.
  • Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices.
  • HNC or Electrical Electronics Degree.
