Compound Discovery Specialist

Lifelancer is seeking a highly skilled Compound Discovery Technician to join our team at Bactobio. As a key member of our Screening and Analytical Chemistry teams, you will play a crucial role in extracting microbial samples, supporting compound separation by HPLC, and preparing samples for LCMS analysis.
Your Responsibilities:- Support the extraction of microbial samples and their preparation for analysis
- Collaborate with the Screening and Analytical Chemistry teams to optimize compound separation and data collection
- Prepare samples for LCMS analysis and ensure accurate data recording and tracking
- Maintain and upkeep the analytical chemistry laboratory and equipment
- Take ownership of projects and upskill in various areas of the Bactobiopipeline
- A Master's degree or above in chemistry or a BSc in chemistry with equivalent experience
- Experience in preparing extracts from biological samples and working with chromatography methods, including HPLC and LCMS
- Interest in biotechnology and enthusiasm for scientific discovery
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
