Our cutting-edge data collection methods and innovative bioinformatic approaches have already yielded over 3000 diverse microbial species. We're committed to expanding our unique library and increasing microbial capture rates using metagenomics and machine learning.

Your Role

As a Compound Discovery Technician, you'll play a crucial part in our mission. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Screening and Analytical Chemistry teams in extracting microbial samples
  • Assisting in compound separation using HPLC
  • Preparing and collecting LCMS samples
  • Maintaining meticulous data records and sample tracking
  • Ensuring the upkeep of the analytical chemistry laboratory and equipment
  • Taking ownership of projects and upskilling in various areas of the Bactobiopipeline
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Master's degree or above in chemistry or a BSc in chemistry with equivalent experience
  • Experience in preparing extracts from biological samples
  • Knowledge of chromatography methods, including HPLC and LCMS
  • A passion for biotechnology and scientific discovery
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
