Cybersecurity Specialist

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum

At Head Resourcing, we are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our client's Edinburgh-based team. As a key member of the Cyber Security Operations Centre, you will drive innovation and enhance security capabilities.

The Role

  • Lead initiatives to bolster security measures, optimize response times, and innovate solutions that safeguard critical data.
  • Collaborate with the team to design, implement, and maintain effective security protocols and procedures.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to improve staff awareness and understanding of cybersecurity best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Cyber Security, ideally within a SOC environment.
  • Expertise in IT security best practices, attack types, and detection/prevention techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server/Desktop Environments.
  • Proficiency with SIEM, SOAR, and EDR solutions.
  • Skills in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, SQL, TCP/IP) and experience with Active Directory.
