We're seeking a skilled Actuary to join our Institutional Retirement Financial Transformation Team for a 12-month period. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues to improve data flow from Pricing to Financial Reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on a valuation load replacement project
  • Act as a Prophet SME to improve data flow from Pricing to Financial Reporting
  • Focus on Individual Annuity work with colleagues to productionise a new process of converting pricing data to Prophet model point files
  • Expand the process to Deferred Annuity business and 'Ab Initio' schemes
  • Participate in the wider Data and Automation team's work to improve processes in Finance and other departments
  • Develop and implement innovative ways to improve the efficiency of the Institutional Retirement Finance department
  • Ensure new processes produce clear, useful, and accessible controls

Requirements:

  • Qualified Actuary with experience in the Life Industry
  • Strong understanding of data processes used to administer insurance business, modelling software used for actuarial liabilities, and reporting metrics
  • Strong data manipulation and coding skills
  • Good knowledge of Prophet and DCS
  • Analytical skills with the ability to review results for reasonableness
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
