Job Title: Water Treatment/Water Hygiene Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment/Water Hygiene Engineer to join our team at The Selection Partnership Ltd. As a key member of our Environmental/Services Division, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional water treatment and hygiene services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct closed system analytical testing and remediation to ensure compliance with ACOP L8 guidelines.
  • Perform dead leg removals, tank inspections, and closed system analysis to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Take water samples and conduct temperature monitoring to ensure water quality standards are met.
  • Clean and chlorinate hot and cold-water systems, tanks, and cooling towers to prevent Legionella growth.
  • Test and service temperature actuating valves (TMVs) to ensure safe and efficient water distribution.
  • Descal and disinfect shower heads to prevent waterborne pathogens.
  • Perform pre-commission cleaning and flushing to ensure new systems are safe and functional.
  • Carry out plumbing remedial works, including repairs and maintenance, to ensure water systems are safe and efficient.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in water treatment and hygiene, with a strong understanding of ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines.
  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Plumbing (not essential but desirable).
  • Excellent IT and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Full and valid driving license, with the ability to travel to client sites.
  • Ability to pass a DBS check, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
