About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Trauma-Informed Care Coordinator to join our team at Manchester Mind.

In this role, you will work closely with Manchester City Council's Adult Social Care and Safeguarding Services to provide tailored support to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties.

Your expertise in trauma-informed care and your ability to work in a strengths-based manner will enable you to empower individuals to take control of their mental health journey. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build trust with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals.

Salary: £26,762

Contract Type: Fixed term for 12 months (possible extension dependent on funding)

Hours: 35 hours per week

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

  • Experience of working in a psycho-social manner with individuals experiencing mental health problems
  • Knowledge about various ways to provide emotional and therapeutic support for individuals
  • Ability to create a sense of belonging through the development of kind relationships that lead to individuals feeling accepted and heard
