Professional Liability Claims Handler

This is an exciting opportunity to join AXIS Insurance, a leading global provider of specialty lines insurance and reinsurance. We are seeking a skilled Claims Resolution Specialist to join our team and contribute to our collective success.
Key Responsibilities- Handle professional negligence claims, as well as claims for other liability classes, for a wide variety of professions and commercial clients written in the Professional Lines Division and reporting to the PI Claims Lead.
- Work closely with clients, market leaders and brokers as well as managing TPA service providers and external legal advisors to ensure a premier claims service to clients is maintained.
- Handle claims in a lead capacity from first advice to final settlement including full analysis of coverage and liability, reserve evaluations, formulating resolution strategy and liaising with risk managers, in-house counsel and experts.
- Handle Lloyd's Syndicate as well as IUA and company claims.
- Liaise with respective underwriters on wording/policy issues, provide claims information and attend client meetings as appropriate.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Claims Resolution Specialist who has a proven track record in dealing with Professional Indemnity claims. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements- Experience in dealing with Professional Indemnity claims in either a claims lead or legal advisory capacity.

- Ability to develop and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Ideally you will have worked in a syndicate, company or a broker and gained sufficient practical experience in the market place to independently perform the above duties and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of CLASS/ECF2.
- Experience with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Legal or professional qualification such as ACII.
