As a Control Engineer at ScottishPower, you will play a vital role in the management and operation of our electrical networks. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our systems. To achieve this, you will be required to manage safety, system integrity, customer service, and coordinate system access while ensuring compliance with ScottishPower Licence. Additionally, you will facilitate change necessary within Customer Services Delivery as the distribution network transitions to Net Zero. You will also be responsible for reviewing and investigating system performance following major incidents and faults, providing advice and support on technical matters relating to the network, and approving and controlling all outage and network access requests ensuring risk to network and system security is minimised.

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, ability to form strong working relationships across all business areas and at all levels, proven aptitude for using and developing new IT solutions, and ability to co-ordinate a broad range of complex tasks and devise solutions. You will also require previous Control Room knowledge/experience, detailed distribution and/or network knowledge, operational experience, and PowerOn/SCADA experience (advantageous).
